How To Install Stable Diffusion WebUI


This is a step-by-step guide for Windows Users to install A1111’s Stable Diffusion WebUI.

NOTE :
This tutorial is for Windows Users Only.
Minimum 15 GB Free Space required (Recommended : 50 GB+).
High speed internet is recommended. Total download size can exceed 20 GB.


Dependencies

Before installing the WebUI, we need to install Python and Git.

Python

Download the Python Installer here

  1. Run the Python Installer.
  2. Enable ‘Add Python 3.10 to PATH’
  3. Click on ‘Install Now’
  4. Close the window after installation.


Git

Download the Git Installer here

  1. Run the Git Installer.
  2. Click on ‘Next’ until installation starts.
  3. Close the window after installation.


WebUI

NOTE : Ensure minimum 15 GB free space.
(Recommended : 50GB+ Free Space)

  1. Create a New Folder.
  2. Rename it and open the folder.
  3. Type ‘cmd’ in the address bar and hit Enter.
  4. Paste the following command and hit enter :
    git clone https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui.git
  5. Wait for the files to download…
  6. Close the window after download.
  7. Open the folder : stable-diffusion-webui


  1. Scroll to the bottom.
  2. Right click on the file : webui-user.bat
  3. Click on ‘Edit’.
  4. In front of COMMANDLINE_ARGS, paste the following text as shown in the video :
    --xformers --lowvram
  5. Save the file and close.
  6. Run the same file : webui-user.bat
  7. Wait for the installation to finish…

    🛈 Ensure stable internet connection
    Download size : 10 GB
    Estimated time : 30 mins+
    (depending on internet speed)

  8. After installation is successful, application will launch in your browser.
  9. In the top textbox, write a small prompt.
  10. Hit the ‘Generate’ button on the right to see if it works.
    (Time taken for each generation depends on your system configuration)
  11. Congraulations ! Your WebUI is now ready to use.


  • The WebUI can be launched running the file : webui-user.bat.
  • Keep the cmd window open, otherwise the application will not work.

NOTE :
If you are installing the WebUI on multiple PCs, you can copy the ‘models’ folder from the first PC after successful installation, and paste it in the stable-diffusion-webui folder of all the other PCs before running the webui-user.bat file, to avoid downloading the model files again and again.
